Foreign donors cut their contributions to the 2010-11 budget in protest of the slow pace of reforms by President Kikwete
Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete has re-appointed Mizengo Pinda as prime minister of east Africa’s second largest economy.
Pinda, 62, has held the post since his predecessor Edward Lowassa resigned in 2008 over graft allegations.
The appointment was endorsed late on Tuesday by members of parliament, who voted 84.5 percent in favor of Pinda.
The Tanzanian president was re-elected on October 31 in an election overshadowed by a low turnout and claims of rigging.
Kikwete, who took 61 percent of the vote, is due to address parliament on Thursday before naming his new cabinet anytime from Friday.
The presidential candidate of the opposition Chadema party, Willibrod Slaa, who got 26 percent of the vote, said on Monday his party would not recognize the election result

I appreciate the re appoitment of Mizengo Pinda as a Prime minister. Hon Pinda is a hard working person with confidence and very attentive in addresing the matters. (albinos matters, Tanzania union, few to mention)
I also recomend that the election committee should readress why only few voted!!
Lastly I need to writte about the president speech where the chadema member of parliament regreeted, I thought may be they were right not sure, BUT the preside speech shows that the man is competent in democracy since he did not panic.
